Marcus Karl Berger:
Marcus Berger is the younger brother of Jack Berger, a militia SGT of the 3/103rd Armored, now based at Camp Phoenix (formerly RB Winter State Park)
Marcus worked in numerous fields, including as an electronics technician, detective, and part time rock drummer, until he settled into the life of a railroader. Marcus promoted several times, beginning as Trainman, working up through Engineer, and finally ending up a yardmaster with the Norfolk and Southern in it's extensive facilities near Harrisburg PA.
Marcus always had a knack for tearing apart things and putting them back together. Those abilities helped him make it thus far in 2003. Berger thought his brother was lost, but was overjoyed to be reunited with him in mid-May 2003. Marcus is working on an old GE 70-tonner that is on a spur near White Deer. One of the greater problems is the fact that the bridge connecting the spur with the rest of the railroads in the area was washed away in a flood. Marcus seems undaunted. "Take care of the little things like the frozen engine and burned out wiring, and then I'll worry about the rails..."
